The 30-second commercial that is on-air since Sunday, October 14, 2012, flaunts the versatility in functionality on the basis of which Microsoft is set to challenge the likes of Apple in the OS arena. The tagline for the ad 'World Re-imagined is no doubt the ultimate choice as Microsoft is all set to re-imagine the world with its latest endowment for tech geeks. The song "Only Want You" by the Eagles of Death Metal playing in the background adds further flavor to the commercial.
Windows 8, with several highly innovative touch-friendly features, will reach down your hands on 26th October at a price tag of $70. You can either own your copy via online or through supporting retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, Staples or Office Depot. If not in a mood to shell out that much, you can just upgrade to Windows 8 for $40. The price tag is much-much lower than the current market price of Windows 7 i.e. $200. However, it's worth to note here that this offer is valid till the end of January 2013.
You can also pre-order a copy from Friday, October 19 to have the distinction of being in the initial lot of Windows 8 owners.
Although very much expected, Microsoft founder Bill Gates has termed Windows 8 a very exciting new product" and "a very big deal" when it comes to the capabilities of the world's largest software maker. But, there is more than just a blemish amidst all the hoopla surrounding the full launch of Windows 8. As per reports, it is full of bugs and other issues.
